چکیده

A simplified model of anisotropic magnetic susceptibility in the Meissner–London vortex-free state cuboidal superconducting samples is presented. Using this model, precision measurements response three perpendicular directions a field with respect to primary crystal axes can be used extract components London penetration depth, thus enabling evaluation general superfluid density tensor, which needed analysis gap structure.

Anisotropic impurities in anisotropic superconductors

Physical properties of anisotropic superconductors like the critical temperature and others depend sensitively on the electron mean free path. The sensitivity to impurity scattering and the resulting anomalies are considered a characteristic feature of strongly anisotropic pairing. These anomalies are usually analyzed in terms of s-wave impurity scattering which leads to universal pair breaking...

Localized anisotropic superconductors

We address the question of whether an anisotropic gap of dx2−y2 symmetry is compatible with localized states in the normal phase. The issue is important for high-Tc superconductors for which a superconductor-to-insulator transition is observed, together with a number of experiments that support d-wave pairing. We prove that d-wave superconductivity is compatible with a localized normal state. W...

Branched networks by directed assembly of shape anisotropic magnetic particles.

The directed assembly of shape anisotropic magnetic particles into targeted macrostructures requires judicious particle design. We present a framework to understand the self-assembly of magnetic non-Brownian H-shaped particles and the formation of branched networks under an applied magnetic field. A finite element integration (FEI) method is developed to identify the preferred particle orientat...
